Every 7 o’clock in the evening, the Sisters of Mary Schools (SMS), all over the world, pray the rosary together. Due to the wide effect of the pandemic disease, COVID-19, the SMS, Minglanilla Campus, launched a livestreaming activity of the rosary with the assigned family saints of the students.

It started last 16th of June, 2020, and continues onward except Saturdays and Sundays.  The prayer is being held at the ground floor chapel of building 2 of SMS, Minglanilla Campus.

This has been commenced with purpose of ending the pandemic and to reach out everyone, especially the netizens of Facebook.

Jeffrey Balais, a grade 9 student, said that, “I feel too glad in having the livestreaming of our rosary, because in a little way, I can help our families, donors, benefactors, and friends, who are suffering and facing the disease outbreak.”

“We need to pray together because it makes our bonds at each other stronger. Also, through this no one will be left behind with our faith,” said by Jhun Rey G. Sanico, a grade 11 student.

John Fred Fulgencio, a graduating student said: “Through online rosary, we pray together and we unite ourselves to God, the Father Almighty.”

Sanico said that everyone needs prayer in their spiritual life and through the online rosary, they made it possible to connect and reach others.

“Do not lose hope, just pray and put everything to God,” he added.

Fulgencio said that they need to extend their prayers to others so that everyone will be enlighten by the Holy Spirit.

“Also, through prayer, God will protect us from pandemic,” he added.

With the help of the rondalla members who played instruments for the final hymn, the online rosary has been successfully unveiled and reached more people.

“We need to pray as one and to stay strong, because God will not abandon us. We just need to think that God is our strength,” Fulgencio said.
